Old yakuza movies rock.
Especially ones with kerrazy cops with stupid aviator sunglasses who beat people up. Guess who just got round to watching that cheap-ass yakuza DVD I bought from the shop in Oxf town that closed down ^_^
I've also been watching the Pirates commentary track with Keira Knightley and Jack Davenport - was quite impressed by a) how funny Davenport is and b) how incredibly shrill Knightley is. Two hours of her and I wanted to belt her in the teeth just to let JD get a word in >.<
Highlights, though!
Davenport on himself: 'How could one man wear so much brocade and not be classed as a Mardi Gras float?'
Davenport on himself and Jonathan Pryce under cannon fire: 'There was a certain element of courtly man-love going down...'
Knightley is a bimbo: 'I've gone on the ride many, many, many times. Jack's never been on the ride, have you?'
Davenport is a master of the put-down: 'No, I was too busy reading books on naval procedure.'
Knightley can actually be funny if she tries hard: '...and THAT MONKEY! I want to *stuff* the monkey!'
Davenport - pardon? 'I haven't got a girlfriend anymore so I may as well go pirate hunting...'
*coughs* Yes, anyway. I have done nothing of interest of late so here are my choice of the best headlines in recent days. Some courtesy of Mark.
