'As you will be aware by now'

Well, that was an interesting day. Am home, am safe, was well out of Liverpool Street and sitting at my desk by the time the first one went off. Thankyou to all the lovely people who texted and rang to check I was OK, I didn't know I had that many friends ^________^ There came a point about ten thirty when they were coming in so fast I couldn't keep up replying ^_^;;;

So we were all fairly freaked out at Canary Wharf, as you can imagine, but they promptly sealed off the whole island and all the stations, so the net result was just that you had to go out in the rain if you wanted lunch in Jubilee Place. The place was deserted at lunchtime, everyone stayed inside. Bloke to his mate in M&S, having come to return a pair of lacy knickers for mate's girlfriend: "Do you realise we're risking our lives to change her underwear???"

We were all a bit worried about getting home, and the boss' boss was trying to block-book hotel rooms for us, but then everything started to work again. I took the DLR to Greenwich and the most noble brat brother in the world drove a third of the way round the M25 to pick me up. ^_^ You'd have thought it would be unbearable, but actually the motorway was eerily quiet - the gridlock is all in the centre.

And now I need to go sleep cos I have no idea if we're going to have to go to work tomorrow. ^_^;; But before I go, CONGRATULATIONS YOU!!!! one more time. O frabjous day etc, at least for one good reason. ^_________^
