Flat-hunting update, and theatre tickets yo
Two more this weekend!
Waaaaaaay too expensive flat that on paper sounded like everything I'd ever wanted. I braced myself, took muscle (in the form of my father) in case I needed dragging out of there sobbing, and it turned out to be completely pants. Poky, ugly, in a freakish art-deco prison job of a warehouse conversion where you had to go up two floors in a lift, along a corridor, and up another three in a different lift to get to the flat (what were they thinking???) Nasty brick balcony with a river view over not much, creaky floors, and I would have needed to spend even *more* money redecorating the hideousness inflicted on it by current owner. So much for that.
Ickle bright'n'airy flat, very nice, lovely big windows and *amazingly* cheap for the area but in need of cosmetic overhaul - ie, new floors/carpets, new doors for the fitted kitchen, retiling the bathroom, that kind of thing. All very Location Location Location. Unfortunately it didn't have anything else to recommend it; as it didn't face the river you might have been living in your little flat in any suburb, which rather defeats the object of moving to London in the first place.
Still like the first one I saw best. CAN'T HAVE IT. Too dark. *slaps self* I wish someone else would buy it so I could stop angsting :-s
Anybody fancy a trip to the theatre? I have spare tickets sufficient unto two people for Henry IV at the National, part 1 Wednesday 24th Aug and part 2 Friday 26th Aug, both at 7.30. If nobody wants 'em I'm sure Mum will find friends who do, so speak now please. I bought lots because they were only ten quid each...

How dark is too dark? Couldn't you invest in lots of fairy lights, desk lamps and mirrors? ^_^ *GLOMPS for exhaustedness*

I have asked the AFF to BTFFF liason officer to stop you agonising. Actually I didn't ask him to see to that specifically sas it is highly misinterpretable! The flat will be taken care of though and a good time will be had by all.
I fear even cheap tickets aren't cheap enough for me:(

Helen> DON'T SAY THINGS LIKE THAT! You tempt me! Seriously though, it was a bright day and you needed the lights on in the living room. 'Twas pretty dark. *siiiiiiiiiiigh*
Jon> Eheh, thankyou. Just for purposes of clarification; I would rather be alive to agonise over flats than otherwise. Thankyou. :-)

Would I order AFF to kill you??! (or should that be'...'?)
That is why I asked them to only see to the flat. They haven't had much fun recently so I'm sending them to annoy either Lybia or Belaruss.
