Flat huntage: the beginning of the end?

So. Seen a few more since last update (cos I know you're all just dying to hear about my flat hunting :-p)

El mildly grotbag flat with bee-yootiful view over marina. If marinas are your thing (they're not really mine, to be honest). Teeny-tiny little bedroom, even smaller second bedroom with bed jammed in it in wall-bowing fashion ('so you can see you really can get a bed in it!' cried estate agent over-optimistically). And two bathrooms. WHY DO YOU NEED TWO BATHROOMS IN A FLAT IT TAKES FIVE STRIDES TO CROSS LENGTHWAYS? Ahem. Never mind.

Another mildly grotbag one, so unmemorable I can't even think of anything to complain about.

Lovely airy over-priced one, would have loved it if the glorious big floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and master bedroom weren't *directly* on the internal pavement of the complex. Net curtains would have been required *all the time* and everybody could have seen in anyway. No privacy at all. Wuck.

Big'n'spacious one, huuuuuge master bedroom and second one that holds a double bed without squeaking. Big living room, loooovely kitchen, nice bathroom. V pretty, recently refitted, good light, good value, everything I should go for.

But I still like the very first one better. GODDAMMIT.

So tomorrow I'm dragging my dad plus any other members of my family I can inveigle/blackmail/abduct to go look at them both, and maybe I'll choose between them. If I get sufficient agreement that the first one isn't really dingy and a bit privacy-free (I won't, because it is) then I'll leap at it. Since I won't, I need to think really hard about El Gigantico. I didn't fall in love with it, but I think with my own stuff in it it could be pretty nice. *grrnch*

I had asked AFF to see to the first one but they might have been busy cratering the Oxford- Cambridge Tesco crawl.
