I sometimes wonder if studying classics makes you odd. I mean, it goes without saying that most classicists *are* odd, but I'm not sure if that's a cause or an effect. But judging by my reading material today, I'm convinced it has to do *something* odd to you. So far today I've had Vergil beautifying death, gory battle descriptions that would put the average 15 year old boy writing to shame, and Catullus being typically obscene. That lot has *got* to do something weird to your psyche.

Ah well. I'm off to Shoujothon in a minute, though not before nee-sama and I go down to Tescos to buy some form of cheap alcohol - not sure how much pink and sparkles I can take without some serious mind-numbing in the form of archers. Not sure how an excess of mahou shoujo is meant to in any way improve my mental state though...

In other news, I've been having some quiet fun fic writing today, which was pleasant - it's been such a long time since I've had any time to write (well, I don't have time now, exams in two and a half weeks and all that, but never mind), and I didn't realise how much I was missing it. Gravi fic won today, so I've been writing Tohma and Sakano getting drunk, and Mika-san getting upset, which was fun. I do like Mika-san, but the show demands I'm horribly callous towards her. *shrugs* Not my fault Tohma's a cold-hearted bastard, now is it?
