Ooooooh...

...been watching Wolf's Rain. *smiles happily*

I've been meaning to watch it for a while, actually - several people whose anime opinions I respect (Leareth, to name but one) have been blogging about it lately. And yes, I *am* shallow enough to watch a show largely on the basis of 'mmm, bishounen'. This show, however, does have the merit of things to recommend it *besides* pretty men (of which there are incidentally a plethora.) For a start, it's quite an original concept thus far - I love the dystopian setting for one, and I really like the idea of the anthropomorphic-shield-generating-wolves. I also love the way the characters actually *act* like wolves to a certain extent - they have a tendency to have beautifully self-centred motivations as well as a touch of pack mentality (at least with the younger ones). I liked the scene where Hige and Toboe were sitting in a cave whining about how they hadn't eaten for ages and Tsume making comments about which of them they ought to eat first. *grins* Sarky semi-bish, mmm...

And, much as I usually hate being prodded in the direction of the semi-canon couple.... *glomps on Tsume and Toboe* Cuuuuute! *heart*. Cynical sarcastic bastard and cute little wussy wolf who keeps following him around saying he likes him and licking his wounds! *heart*. I'd heard about the wound-licking scene before, but I foolishly assumed they would be in wolf form at the time. More fool me ^_^

I just wish Tsume would get a haircut...

Hmm...just under 36 hours until my first exam...urk.

Oh yes, and I saw the last ep of the Mahou Tsukai Tai OVA, and damn near died laughing in a couple of places. The 'human brooms' scene was a particularly good example. 'Oh, ride me, Takeo-kun!' '...you could at least turn over...' *dies*
