fuckinbloodyraijinandfuckingbloodyfujin
There are only so many times I can get my ass whupped by bloody Raijin and Fujin without losing all self respect. Yes, don't tell me Katy, I need to go and level-up. I *know* I need to go and level up. But I get soooo bored with fighting random moon monsters! Damnit, I just want an apocalyptic GF, is that really so much to ask? And if bloody Fujin casts Pain on me *one more time*....
*coughs*
So...yeah. The essay is finished, huzzah! 2972 words, ohhhh yeah. And if I remember the words of the sage Robin Lane Fox correctly, he wasn't going to set us an essay next week. ^________^ That means I only have to do reading and two commentaries! Lots of time for fic and games and other fun things!
Andrew - sorry I didn't email you back about that Classics questions - only just found it ^_^;;;;; I'm afraid I'm not amazingly good on the technicalities of the productions - it's not something I ever really covered in tutes. I would imagine they'd have to get up and down from the skene by means of a ladder at the back, ungainly as that might seem. Don't take it as *too* read that Philoktetes' cave was on top of the skene though - that could make the problems of staging considerably worse. Given that the only internal place in the play is the cave, it'd seem odd not to locate it in the skene building itself, no matter what indications of height there are in the text. You can equally well argue that you need to use your imagination for the height of the cave. That would get round the problem of so many people having to go into and out of it - they could just walk into the skene building.
That probably didn't make much sense, did it? Sorry to non-Classicists, and also to Andrew for writing such a vague answer. I woke up at 2.30am thinking 'hmmm, Carian helmets...', so I don't know that I'm in much of a fit mental state for...well, life, really...

Not to worry about it - I shouldn't be trying to scab wondrous nuggets of Classics knowledge off you anyway ^_^ Essay was alright with me waffling anyway - I WROTE MORE THAN 1500 WORDS! THERE IS HOPE FOR ME YET!
*ahem*
Helmets don't wake me up in the middle of the night, admittedly. I did once wake up laughing after dreaming I was an Athenian watching Frogs for the first time and laughing uproariously at "But the vinegar jars were Cephisophon's" _even though at that point I didn't understand the joke_

If you want an apocalyptic GF, you can always go and find Eden. ^_^;; That'll make fighting Raijin and Fujin feel a lot easier too...
Alternatively I shall attempt to offer assistance at some point. ^_^;
