A Not-So Gentlemanly Conversation
Have been bitten by Getbackers plot bunnies, much to my surprise. I wasn't expecting it to be a series that caused much by way of fic activity, which only goes to show that inspiration has a weird sense of humour. I have the vague emotional feel for a fic, which is often the way strange little vignettes start. It's just Ban-chan and Dr Jackal, stuck somewhere together, and Dr Jackal being bored and deciding to piss Ban off. ^___^ If you've ever read 'A Gentlemanly Conversation' by Leareth, then you'll know the kind of atmosphere I'm aiming for. Except Ban is a lot less polite than Tatsumi would ever dream of being.
For which fic, I would appreciate any input from our resident GetBackers expert, particularly on the subject of backstories. Do we know anything about Jackal's backstory? What do we know about Ban's? Don't worry about spoilering me, I don't mind. I especially want to know about those 'akuma!' flashbacks he was having in ep 12. Any info would be greatly appreciated ^_^
Other than that, have done little today - singing, yadda yadda. Andrew, Tim would very much like to get in touch with any tenor who might be willing to sing with us ^_^. Want to email him, or do you want me to give him your address so he can mail you?

Ummmm.. backstories, yes. Well, we really don't know anything about Dr. Jackal except what he says when he fights Ginji in the Platinum retrieval arc about his knives not being hidden in his clothing, hopefully we'll get some juicy backstory on him at some point. Likewise Ban- i think they are getting Ginji's angsty backstory out of the way so that they can deal with Ban's. It's all still a big ol' blank. Tho there may possibly be something in the manga somewhere about it.

E-mail me his address. After being menaced by the Choral Scholar - "YOU!" *points finger* "Where were you on Sunday?" "Well, you didn't communicate that idea very well, did you?" - and consultation with Oriel Choral Scholars - "Oooh, Exeter's good isn't it?" - I'm very much considering it... and it may be more pro-active of me to e-mail him than vice versa.
