One essay down...
Ah, it's that happy time when you realise that your last entry has dropped off your blog page through laziness about updating, so really you ought to get round to writing something if only to make the page look slightly less sad.
So...Oxford. One essay down, and I rather suspect it stinks, but the structure of the bloody thing meant it was bound to stink anyway. Which possibly won't cut much ice with my Mystery New History Tutor (TM) (as opposed to my Mystery New Literature Tutor who I also get next term...gee, thanks guys, both my tutors off on sabbatical is *just* what I want in my finals year... >_< I know they've got to go off and write their books sometime, but did it really have to be at the same time? Whinge, moan, chiz etc.). In any case, it was done and within the time limit too, so that's a bonus. Just one more essay to do, and it doesn't look quite as bad as this one (mmm, straightforward narrative history essay rather than source-work, thank you god).
Having said which, it'll probably now end up being star-spawn. Heigh ho.
So, tasks for the day: go to library, return books from last essay, get out books for next essay, and *sort out this bloody mobile phone*. I've got the code thingy so I can change my number to a different service provider, I just can't seem to get the goddamned *phone*. Because I was planning to order it from a website (which one might think is reasonable), but the site in question refuses to believe that one might be resident at an address other than one's billing address. As I, in fact, am. So they'll only deliver to you in person at your billing address, and since I am currently at more-or-less permanent residence some hour's drive from my billing address, I have some problems with ordering.
I may be forced to go to a *shop*. Ugh.
(Incidentally - listening to The Smiths, and suddenly tickled by the lyrics to Frankly Mr Shankly. 'I want to live and I want to love / I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of.')
What else? Well, I'm incredibly jealous of Lizzu in Japan, and consoling myself only with the thought of pretty pretty doujinshi winging their way towards me. Nee-sama came over this weekend, which is always a joy, even if having other friends over at a time when she was already supposed to have gone (but in fact *hadn't* gone due to the mysteries of a flat battery) meant I didn't get to say goodbye properly, which was kinda lousy >_< Other friends in question are becoming increasingly anime geeky even if they don't like to admit it, and surprised me by liking Hellsing to a remarkable extent (bear in mind that one of aforementioned friends generally likes Princess Tutu and occasionally finds CCS scary. Eheh.)
What else, what else... (This is a very dull and disorganised entry. Sod it. This is what happens when you write an entry purely to fill in the blank space on the screen.) House is *more or less* in order now, though still in need of bathroom cabinet, picture hooks etc. Oh, and I bought a pretty pretty new wallscroll for my room. When I get the picture hooks.
*sighs* Wonder if Katy's awake yet. She's currently asleep in the sitting room and I don't like to go down and disturb her. I've already read the whole of demon diary this morning, it's starting to get faintly ridiculous. Maybe I'll fic for a bit...

Wake me up if I sleep that long. I hate it. >__
(...don't ask how that's an accurate description, it just is.)

...your blog keeps eating the middle sentences of my replies. I know I'm sleepy, but that last comment actually made sense the way I wrote it. o_0
