Catholics, fangirlism, doujinshi...
...well, I've got the new phone, though not actually used it yet, and I still haven't written that second essay yet, nor yet finished the reading for it. Oops. Other than that... Did a weekend of too much singing for too little money (wheee, always fun. Bloody Catholics at Keble not knowing when to stop their blasted liturgy at a somewhat briefer place. Full mass with Creed, two movements of the Gloria, two Bruckner motets...oy. >_<) Had a couple of people over for the most *ridiculously* fangirlish evening of anime (sorry, Ivan...) - I mean, we watched *Weiss Kreuz*. Even *I* know that's sad. And KKM. And no Yami because I don't have the Kyoto Arc DVDs, despite much pleading to watch my horrible horrible .rms. Though we gleed over the manga rather a lot, leading to extensive fic musings. Though I still want to know what the swerve was....
...I didn't know Without A Trace had Joe from Empire Records in it. Just saw advert. Eheh. Serves me right for avoiding it just because it's popular ^_^;;;;
Goddamnit, I really need to finish that damn flyer for Fresher's Fair tonight. Gah, how can it be that I have free time but still am not finishing things easily on time? Oh, right, disorganisation ^_^;; And also the fact that Lizzu sent me pretty pretty pretty things from Japan and so I've been spending much of the last couple of days squinting at doujinshi with my trademark translation skills (I'm good with family relationships, frequently recurring questions, some katakana and yaoi vocabulary ie. vowel sounds and melodrama ^_^;;; All the rest is a total mystery to me. At least these doujinshi have printed text rather than handwritten, I can't deal with handwritten kanji >_< >_< Well, even less than I can deal with ordinary kanji, anyway.) I'm going to mug a Japanologist and feed them with pocky until they agree to translate things for me some day. I really want to do doujinshi scanlations at the 13x6 site I have in the pipeline...
Anything else? No, I don't think so. Been quite pleasantly quiet, really. Mmm.
