A plea

To the Georgette Heyer plotbunnies currently hopping around in my head,

Please. Seriously. Give it a rest for a week. That's not so much to ask.

J.

PS. It's the fact that the twist at the end of the novel which I pretty much saw coming only I didn't want to believe would actually happen because it makes my favourite character a liiiiiiittle bit of a nutcase just makes the fic I had in mind a) somewhat twisted, b) considerably less fluffy, and c) considerably more attractive. *headdesk*

Indeed, sir, it's the truth, sir, for I never was taught to lie

Some things just make one happy on principle. I personally find this to be one of them. It's the detail about the two special officers with the ranks of Ram Major and Ram Orderly whose task it is to take care of the Derby Ram which got me. I think 'Ram Major' is up there with 'Rouge Dragon Persuivant' as one of the finer titles available in England today.

(Don't ask why I was looking up lyrics to 'The Derby Ram' when I ought to have been writing my thesis, due in in something less than three weeks time. It's not something I want to examine too closely.)
