'Lying in bed would be an altogether perfect and supreme experience, if only one had a coloured pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling.' - G K Chesterton: Trifles
Recent updates
1 June 2008 - Just working on one of my occasional enormous catch-up updates! 'Fantasio', an 1834 French farce, has been added to Literary/Dramatic Jesters in a new Theatre section. Four new additions to the Links page, which has also been cleaned out to remove the dead links. Alex the Jester is a new US-based addition to the Entertainers links as well. New images in the gallery - two examples of jester album art from the famous band Marillion, a beautiful painting by Australian artist Paol. A new jester game in Media, 'Chronomaster'. And the Jester's Sermon on the Literature > Poetry page is now correctly credited. Best of all, Lorne Kennedy, who played the jester Malone in Highlander: the Animated Series, sent me an awesome cell from the series. Check it out in the Images > Misc Gallery and on the Media > TV page.
And two events for your calendar: on the 12th July 2008 there will be a Jester Competition in Heptonstall, a British village between Leeds and Manchester - should you be in the area, check it out! And in August there's a Jester School over the bank holiday at Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex. If you know of any others, drop me a line!
For my next trick, I'm hoping to revamp the colour scheme on this site to be a little less eye-bleeding, but that may require a bit of patience on the part of my long-suffering readers...
